AM3352: Temperature specifications

Part Number: AM3352

Looking at the AM335x datasheet table 3-11, a lifetime overview is provided when using the AM3352 within the temperature specifications. This is a lifetime table, but does you also have some absolute maximum temperature requirements to not damage the AM3352?

If we had a AM3352 die temperature measurement, we could also use that. But it don’t look like there is one aviable for the software, is that correct?

  • I don't know what datasheet version you are quoting. In the latest AM335x Datasheet, Rev. J, temperature specifications are given in Table 5-1. These are the operating temperature ranges for the device. Storage temperature range is given in section 5.1 (check also Note 11).

There is no die temperature measurement accessible from software.
  • When looking in the datasheet the following table is available:

    The question is:

If the temperature exceeds these temperatures, my guess would be, that the lifetime decreases, is that correct?

Do we have any information about the decreased lifetime when temperature exceeds the temperature given in the table above?

Our analog team offers charts like this:

Do we have the same information for the AM3352?

Is there a maximum temperature for not damaging the AM3352?

  • These are the maximum permitted temperatures for the device. The maximum junction temperature must never be exceeded, or the device can be permanently damaged.
