Has the DMAI API been updated for h.264?

The reason I ask is becuase the "encoder" example in dvsdk_demos/dm365, which uses the DMAI API does not supply any h.264 specific parameters to the encoder. AND while there is a set of pre-defined parameters (Venc1_Params_DEFAULT) and dynamic parameters (Venc1_DynamicParams_DEFAULT), I can't find the equivalent defaults for the h.264 extended parameters or dynamic parameters.

Maybe someone more familiar with DMAI can jump in, but I believe DMAI is somewhat new and still evolving. It is also my understanding that codec such as h.264 include default values themselves for some items, so maybe extended paramenter defaults may be taken care of by the codec itself.

Which would be fine if the defaults were acceptable. But what if we need to change the extended parameters?

I believe this can be done via VISA APIs; for example VIDENC_Control API. FYI, DMAI is another level of abstraction to make user APIs even simpler for customers; however, you can always access the driver and codec engine APIs below. The plan for DMAI is to cover the most common scenerios (building blocks) so customer can quickly prototype their own demos; however it is not meant to be an exhaustive API to cover all scenerious or use cases.
