AM5706: Errata i862 clarification

Part Number: AM5706

The errata states that this problem may be fixed in SR2.0 silicon.

The J6Entry EVM board's schematic has a feedback path from the AM5706's RESETOUTN (reset output) back to the PORz path.  However, it looks like it is disconnected by R559 being set to NP.

Do I need to plan for this circuit in my AM5706 design or is all AM5706 silicon the Version SR2.0 and not have this issue?

Thanks.

  • David,

Please review the Errata document.  Even though i862 has been fixed in PG2.0 silicon, there are other errata i727 and i729 that may still cause you to need the PORz generation from a Warm Reset.  There are other workaround options shown.  However, one of the workarounds such as the one discussed under i862 must be implemented.
