I am currently working on dm355 to display a video given as an input. I am able to decode the jpeg image files using jpegdec. But the video decoder vdec meant for MPEG4 videos fails to decode. I was only able to decode the example akiyo_160x128.bits file but that too is not displayed properly. The decoder user guide points out that it can decode only those videos which it has encoded. So is there a way to display videos of MPEG4 format not encoded by dm355?
Also specify the settings for bootargs to display video using FBDev. When same settings as those used for image display were used the video display was not possible.It came out to be just like various frames of video coming simultaneously on the screen. Do we need to do some resizing or buffering or anything else on software side before loading the video on FBDev?
