Linux/OMAP-L138: UBOOT slave feature

Customer need to use USB slave in UBOOT instead of Ethernet to communicate with PC

The latest SDK Uboot version is 2017.01, the usb gadget added usb downloader gadget feature, but how to use it for USB slave to receive kernel, file system from host?

Hi Tony,

I don't think this (usb slave mode in u-boot) in the TI SDK.
They can see if they will be able to get the fastboot up and running for OMAP-L138, but this is also not verified.

Hi,

Let me check if this is actually supported in linux OS. It is generally used in android devices to load linux kernel & filesystem on your device through usb.
This is definitely not supported in TI SDK, but may be easier to be ported than doing a new usb gadget driver for slave mode.

Sorry, I couldn't find evidence that this will work for linux. It seems that they should create a custom driver following the TRM recommendations.
