TDA2HG: 12bit Camera to 16/24 Bit VIP interface connection

Greetings

I want to interface 12bit cameras/FPD Link Deserializers to VIP1, 2 and 3 port on TDA2x

I suppose we configure VIP as a 16 bit port but only connect 12pins.

Do I use Vinx_d0 to Vinx_d11 and connect the remaining 4 pins to GND or do I use Vinx_d4 to Vinx_d16 and connect Vin_d0 to -d3 to GND?

Can I even use the remaining 4 pins for GPIO?

Hi Andre,

Assuming we would require to receive RAW12 in a 16 container. I.e. bits B0 to B11 would hold valid data and contents of Bits B12 to B15 should be 0.

You could connect data lines to VinX_d0 to VinX_D11 and connect remaining to GND. i.e. VinX_D12 to VinX_D15 to GND.

Please ensure to use VinXa_d[11:0]
