TDA2xEVM: Display output of segmentation usecase displays previous frames sometimes

Hi,

The display output of segmentation usecase demo appears choppy as it displays older frames after a new frame has been displayed.

I have made no changes to the usecase and am using properly generated inData and inHeader files.

What could be causing this issue?

No. I have generated them myself.

I have resized them to 1024x512 and renamed to "inData".

I have generated the "inHeader" using the following commands:

ffprobe -show_packets inData > .index
grep "size" .index | awk -F"=" '{print $2}' > .size
cat .size  | perl -n -e 'printf("%08x\n",$_)' | sed 's/\(..\)\(..\)\(..\)\(..\)/0x\4\n0x\3\n0x\2\n0x\1/' | xxd -r -p > inHeader && du -b inHeader
rm -f .index .size

This is as per the advice given in another thread that I posted. Are these steps correct?

Is it possible for you to share the original files for the segmentation demo?

we have shared the original files in CDDS, do you have access here? else please contact your TI field engineer to get access permission
Vision SDK demo clips are available at cdds.ext.ti.com/.../emxNavigator.jsp

FYI, do you enable B-frame encoding in your case while converting the file? if yes, please disable. let try with only I & P frames

I don't have a CDDS account and acquiring one might take time. Can you please share the clip and header here?

Meanwhile I forced H264 profile to baseline and this issue is no longer seen. So B-frames were indeed causing the problem.

Thanks for the confirmation and happy to hear that you issue is resolved

AFAIK, in TI we do not have any other means of sharing the file apart from CDDS or ti.com.
can you please check with your TI Marketing or field support engineer, they might know someother options
