Hi,

I'm a beginner . I need some reference for following:

I want to receive data serially which coming at a rate of 10msec.

Are there any inbuilt APIs which I can use ? Eg. any threading APIs or tasking APIs? Which would run a function after specified time ?

What software are you using? What do you mean by "receive data serially"?

I'm using CCS 7.2.0.
RTOS
"Receive data serially" means: I'm Reading data received on UART.

I'm able to read data from UART now but Reading from UART should be periodic. At every 10msec. Need information if available about any inbuilt APIs in RTOS which would do this.

Hi,

Then you need a periodic task every 10ms, in that ISR you read the UART port. We don't have separate timer ISR examples, but we have timer ISR code embedded into other driver examples. For example, under USB:
biosTimerTest() in pdk_am57xx_1_0_9\packages\ti\drv\usb\example\bios\host_msc_main.c
Looking through two functions: delayTimerSetup() and biosTimerTest()
The first creates a timer instance and register the ISR
The second starts the timer, printing “+” every second

You can refer to this to implement a timer task.
