Linux/AM5718: Building the SDK

Hi,

We have developed the SOM using AM5718. We are using this for HMI application developed on QT. We are trying to reduce the booting time. We have patches for kernel and u-boot. Could any one guide us how to adopt these patches through bit bake append files or recipes for kerenel and u-boot. Where kerenel and u-boot located in the tisdk folder structre of the following

build

configs

downloads

oe-layertool-setup.sh

sample-files

sources

please suggest how to proceed.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt response. We are new for building the processor sdk. Could you suggest some sort of details for u-boot and kernel where i need to mention the patches and where kernel and u-boot basically located in folder structure.

In "processor-sdk-04.02.00.09-config.txt" the U-Boot recipe is:
<tisdk>/sources/meta-ti/recipes-bsp/u-boot/u-boot-ti-staging_2017.01.bb

Kernel recipes are:
<tisdk>/sources/meta-ti/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-ti-staging_4.9.bb
<tisdk>/sources/meta-processor-sdk/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-ti-staging_4.9.bbappend

In this directory you can find the kernel patches:
<tisdk>/sources/meta-processor-sdk/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-ti-staging-4.9-patches/
