OMAP-L138 EVM EMIF-A interrupt examples

I am just starting out with a OMAP-L138 EVM using the TMS320C6748 DSP. I want to connect an external FPGA and I plan to use the EMIF-A connector for this purpose. Are there any coding examples of how to access the EMIF? Specifically I would like to see an example of how to set up an ISR to respond to the EMIF-A interrupt signal. I am using DSP/BIOS.

Hi Don

The EVM does not have an EMIFA to FPGA interface, so there are no out of the box coding examples available. EMIFA to FPGA interface is pretty common, and once implemented the code/driver should be relatively straightforward, read/write memory either via CPU or EDMA etc.

The conditions that generate the EMIFA Interrupt are outlined in the EMIFA user guide section 2.8.1, no specific examples to show usage of these interrupts, but generic interrupt examples (say GPIO etc) can be found in the DSP PSP package which has sample examples for several modules (not EMIFA though).

Thanks very much Mukul. Where can I find the EMIF user guide that you refer to? I did a search on the TI site and there are numerous different documents related to EMIF but none that I could find that relate specifically to the TMS320C6748 core.
