Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello. i am new at omap processors. i have a eval board in my university lab. omap 5912 zzg processor on it. Is that chip have internal flash memory? that can i write and read program to it or there is a nand flash chip next it. if it has internal flash memory arm or dsp how can i read it? with code composer studio with j-link or xds560 programmer?

You have found a board base on very old TI's processor - OMAP5912. This processor is not longer available on the TI web site but I suggest you some documents which can be used for starting point:

Thank you very much dear Cvetolin Shulev. i read osk 5912 but i cant decide that i can do a circuit without nand flash?. if i can know that without flash i can download my codes to 5912 chip or must i add nand flash to it?. i mean is this chip has internal flash memory for save codes(like avr,pic,stm32 ) or not. Because i saw jtag port on it but i am not sure

if you say me exact answer i can start my project with this 5912 chip

OMAP5912 application processor has no integrated flash memory. It has NOR and NAND flash interface. But if your board is OMAP5912 Starter Kit (OSK) it is equipped with 32 MB NOR flash and NAND via expansion card. For details see Table 2 at:

ok i understand that if i write a software ccs studio load it into the nor flash not into the dsp chip. and if i read nor flash i read my software code in this case. thanks
