Hi, may i know about the suitable camera for TMS320DM6437?

which manufacturer and what model can meet my requirement for real-time image processing on expressway monitoring application.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi!

Do you use decoder? Like TVP5146, becuse it has some limits of resolution and frames/second, but if resolution and "speed" are not problem for your project, standard cameras for surveillance are easy to find with nice price!
If not, aptina has a lot of sensors to work!

Hi!

I have a standard surveillance camera with me and i tried the PC host demo application given in the DVSDK. I have no idea how to capture a video using standalone mode and how can I obtain the video for image processing?

Hi,

I'm using a camera that outputs composite video in PAL mode and a DaVinci DM6437 Digital Video Development Platform EVM board. The board has all the electronics required to capture (TVP5147) and generate composite video (via the internal DM6437 VPBE DAC). It also has demo software which will capture and playback video.

Does your camera output composite (PAL or NTSC)?
