DRA746: What is the equivalent SIMD architecture for DSP as like NEON in ARM?

Hi,

I have gone through some of the DSP optimization documents for C6000. Have understood that Software pipelining, Intrinsics, Pragmas...etc can be helpful to optimize DSP code.

Have provision to add SIMD(Single Instruction Multiple Data) optimization option to compiler. Other than this, do we have any equivalent SIMD architecture for DSP as like NEON in ARM?

Please let me know if have such architecture in other version of DSP processor too.

Copying an example excerpt from this document:

The C674x DSP supports 2-way SIMD operations for 16-bit data and 4-way SIMD operations for 8-bit data. C66x enhances this capabilities with the addition of SIMD instructions for 32-bit data allowing operation on 128-bit vectors. For example the QMPY32 instruction is able to perform the element to element multiplication between two vectors of four 32-bit data each.
