OMAP-L137 JTAG header connecting problem

In the beginning, I used TMS320C6747BZKB3 to design my system board. And I did not wire the K1 (PIN NO) to JTAG header's pin9.

Unfortunately, we did not buy the C6747 because of stockout. And we had to solder OMAP-L137.

So, the OMAP-L137's K1 (RTCK) is not wired to JTAG header.

My question is,

Could I succeed to debug my system board with such JTAG header? And what would happen?

How can I solve this problem?

Please help me.

GaoFei,

If you wish to only debug the C674x DSP, you will not need the RTCK return clock. The C6747 implementation will still work.

The RTCK signal is only used for synchronizing the ARM debug logic.

Do you mean that I only can debug the C674x DSP core and I have no way to debug the other core (ARM)?

I feel a little wasted.

If I want to use both two cores, is there any way?

GaoFei,

You don't need any board modifications to connect to the DSP core of the OMAP-L137. However, if you want to connect to the ARM core, you'll need to do some board modifications to connect the RTCK signal to the JTAG header.
