TMS320C6748: SPI FLASH BOOT from c6748 board

Hello,

I am working in tms320c6748 board. I want to use SPI flash boot. I connected S25FL064L spi flash to SPI0 pins in c6748 processor board. I checked with sfh utility to erase the chip. The sfh hangs at erasing chip

I tried with the CCS utility provided C:\ti_ccs\OMAP-L138_FlashAndBootUtils_2_40\OMAP-L138_FlashAndBootUtils_2_40\OMAP-L138\CCS\SPIWriter that goes to unknown state after reading file and info: file read complete.

Is this SPI flash compatible with the c6748? Suggest solution.

Shalini,

This flash should be compatible with C6748 as we have other devices with the same SPI IP on which S25FL flash has been used and tested.

Please note that you are using Serial flash and boot utilities to test this interface and those tools haave been built for TI evaluation platforms and need to be modified to use with different flash devices. Please indicate what changes you made in the code to get this to work.

Hello,

Now I am working with SPI writer project in CCS. I modified peripheral number from 1 to 0 because we use SPI0. This is the change I made,Please brief on further changes to make.
