Hi all:

I want to add new object in TDA2X OD module.

Is it possible to create new object item in TDA2X OD module(REL.200.V.OD.C66X.00.06.00.00)?

How to create new object in TDA2X object detection?

Hi Josh,

You can train a new classifier to detect new objects using OD 00.06.02.00 version. There are a few things you need to take care before using the OD library.

As we have already discussed, you can train for new dataset using the tool:
github.com/.../acf-jacinto

After the training a descriptor with name suffix DetectorCascade.descriptor will be output. This descriptor can be imported/converted using the tool provided with VisionSDK OD module and used in the OD module.

I have one question, how to add enum value for new draw object in AlgorithmLink_ObjectDrawOption
(vision_sdk/apps/include/alglink_api/algorithmLink_objectDraw.h) ?

in /apps/src/rtos/alg_plugins/objectdetection/objectDrawLink_algPlugin.c,
function - AlgorithmLink_objectDrawSetMetaDataBuf
add an else case for new entry
if(algId == ALGORITHM_LINK_OBJECT_DETECT_DRAW_ALG_CUSTOM) and add your code

Hi Sivasankaran:
We prefer to add new object item in OD, the OD include PD, TSR and VD.
For example, we want to add face detect in OD.
Could you explain how to add new item in OD? (Instead of add item into new DRAW_ALG_CUSTOM)

Draw is not doing any detection, its just draw a rectangle around the object. The coordinate positions to draw is provided by Object detect Algo. If you want to add FD in OD, then you need to modify/update the OD Algo itself. By default VSDK release we do not provide the source code of any Algorithms. You need to get it touch with your nearest TI filed application engineer or sales/marketing team for this
