Linux/AM5728: Ethernet bringup issue

Hello All,

We are using our custom board for testing, SDK version "ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-04.02.00.09" using for board bringup.

I'm facing issue with 1GBPS ethernet in RGMII mode, not able to verify.

While debugging the hardware, able to see the data on MDIO_DATA(U4 ball no) and clock on MDIO_MCLK(V1 ball no). There is no signal at EMAC(0)_TXCTL(V9 ball no), showing always at zero level.

In the dts file and kernel image i have not modified anything, for testing using the default SD card created from SDK without modifying anything.

Could anyone please let me know, how can i verify the 1GBPS ethernet in RGMII mode.

    Thanks for posting the log file. Below is a snippet of the ethtool dump you provided. The first thing to fix is the link detected: no. Without this the driver will not try to send any packets, this is why all the packet counts are 0. It looks like the PHY answered on boot as the PHY driver printed out the PHY that was attached. There is one strange think here is that the PHY looks like it at least identified there is a link partner it just could not establish a link. The next step is to review the PHY and look at why it is not establishing a link. Since auto-negotiation is being used here this should happen automatically independent of any driver interaction.
