Linux/AM3358: I2S protocol on SPI

Hello ,

I have designed a custom board with AM3358 similar to the AM335x general purpose EVM.

Now I have a requirement of writing I2S protocol on the SPI0 .

Kindly someone help me at the earliest.

Hello Biser,

I didn't get what you meant to say.

We can use I2S protocol on McASP0 and which was there already in the ti SDK. Now my concern is how to configure that on the MCSPI.

Hello Biser ,

I doesn't mean to say that the software team here has to help me in developing the code. I want the help of software team in knowing the feasibility and any available driver in ti Linux which I am not ware of.

There is no other thread which I have opened for similar problem.

There is no ready software solution in the Sitara Processor Linux SDK to transmit I2S over SPI.

There is an MSP430 app note that looked at doing I2S with 2 SPI's.

But there are limitations like 16-bit L/R channels..

You could look at the concept. But would have to right the code on your own.
