AM5728: H.264 encoding questions

Hi,

we are using AM5728 in our design. We will be doing video processing (H.264 encoding/decoding) with AM5728.We are using gstreamer plugins for that.

i) I want to know about the input formats of videos supported by the H.264 encoder.

ii) Does it supports YUV 4:2:2 format?

Hello,

The ducatih264enc supports 4:2:0 NV12 format, same for ducatih264dec.
We have element like VPE which could do CSC 422->420.
There is a software element like videoconvert also.
Please check the h264 enc/dec user guides for more information.
