Yes, the VIP has limitation that the Cropping/Selection ioctls not supported. Please refer this guide.

Do you want the cropped image in the memory for further processing or just want to display the cropped image? If you want the cropped image in memory, then VPE can achieve that task. Please refer to v4l2-m2m application for same -

If you want to display the cropped image, then that can be done real time by DSS using DRM mode setting. 

I want to display the cropped image.The drm driver have scale funtion,so all i want to do is crop the image and pass it to drm driver then display.

I want to enlarge the image, setting the "CRTC_X", "CRTC_Y", "CRTC_W", "CRTC_H" can only resize the picture to a smaller one. The "CRTC_W", "CRTC_H" is not allowed to bigger than the width and height of drm device

Why would you like to scale larger then display device? Do you want to write the scaled content back to memory for further processing??

Now my question is how to get the buff after the scale, I want save a jpeg file after scaling, but I can't find the ptr to the scaled buff.Could u offer me a way to save my scaled image
