Compiler/TDA3MV: ISS Capture Link Output Data Format

Hi,

Our usecase is using the ISS Capture Link, along with the OV10640 IMI sensor, in TDA3X .

We got the following error while changing the output data format of the ISS Capture Link to SYSTEM_DF_YUV422I_YUYV :

Assertion @ Line: 165 in issM2mIspLink_drv_apply_config.c: status == FVID2_SOK : failed !!!

Does the ISS Capture Link support SYSTEM_DF_YUV422I_YUYV as its output format ??

Hi Soni,

ISS Capture Link cannot output YUV. You would require to use ISP to convert it.

Hi Sujith ,

we are also using IssM2mIsp conversion in the usecase . Still we couldnt convert into SYSTEM_DF_YUV422I_YUYV format . Need your assistance on this .

Hi Surendra,

You should be able to change the output of ISP link. Can you please share your usecase (alternately consider a simple usecase as "IssCapture -> IssM2mIsp ->Null
IssM2mIsp -> Alg_IssAewb" )

You could set "IssM2mIspLink_CreateParams.channelParams[0U].outParams.dataFormat = SYSTEM_DF_YUV422I_YUYV"

Please ensure that next link (after ISP), it can handle this datatype.

Hi Sujith ,

We are changing the data format in the file "app_util_iss.c" line no : 475 , under the function "appInitIssIspParams" . Apart from this should we have to change somewhere else ?

and also kindly advise where we need to set "IssM2mIspLink_CreateParams.channelParams[0U].outParams.dataFormat = SYSTEM_DF_YUV422I_YUYV" .

Small correction, Resizer supports FVID2_DF_YUV422I_UYVY, not FVID2_DF_YUV422I_YUYV format.

Yes it should be UYVY format. Also ensure the next link can support this format.
