dm368 DEVICE_ID same as dm365?

I am trying to find a way to distinguish between a dm368 and dm365 in software.

I find that the DEVICE _ID register returns the same value for both parts (reg:0x01c40028 val:0x8b83e02f).Why is this?

Is there some other register setting that can be used to distinguish these parts in software?
