AM3352: I2C BF bit

Part Number: AM3352

Hi,

Could you please let us know what is the condition for I2C Bus Free(BF) bit to be set to 1?
As per the TRM manual Table 21-12, BF bit will be 1 "when a Stop Condition is detected on the bus".

But, when we tried with a simple code, the BF bit is set even if there is no Stop Condition.
In the I2C receive routine at the beginning we are starting the sending sequence with "I2C_CON.STP = 0" and
the BF bit is set while sending. Is this an expected behaviour?

OS: This application don't use any OS or starterware, just a bare metal program.
AM335x is I2C Master.

Please let me know if there is any other possible condition that BF bit is set
even if there is no stop condition.

Best Regards
paddu
