AM5728: Software warm reset

Hi,

I am using idk-Am5728 board and referring to C:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_9\packages\ti\board\diag\qspi\src/qspi_diag.c
Want to do warm reset from the code.

Currently In TRM referring to the CTRL_CORE_PAD_RESETN pad register with physical address 0x4A00 385C.

Does the above pad register is the correct one ?

Hi Abhinav,

The CTRL_CORE_PAD_RESETN register configures the resetn pin. Resetn is an input on AM572x and can be used to trigger a warm reset from an external source.

If you want to trigger a global warm reset from software, then PRM_RSTCTRL [ RST_GLOBAL_WARM_SW ] should be used. The "Power, Reset, and Clock Management" (or PRCM) chapter in the device TRM has more details about software warm resets (see the "Reset Sources" section).
