Linux/66AK2H12: linux matrix run failure!

hi.

i used 2 boards. k2h and custom board similar to k2h. i burn ti-u-boot and linux kernel (PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-K2HK 04_02_00_09) on both of them.

kernel boot on 2 boards and kernel reports on both of them are similar. but Matrix did not run in any boards.

(i tried MCSDK 3.01.04.07 prebuild image on k2h and matrix ran)

Serdes and lans are configured on both and i have ping in both of them. i read this page

and used these commands:

/etc/init.d/matrix-gui-2.0 stop
/etc/init.d/matrix-gui-2.0 start

but matrix doesnt work. why matrix doesnt run on windows browser?

Hi,

Can you try killing the weston daemon on your K2H EVM, then start it by typing weston? After that run /etc/init.d/matrix-gui-2.0 start and see if it will resolve the problem.

Hi,

Have you tried:

matrix_browser -qws http://localhost:80

Or try to connect a mouse to the K2H EVM. Sometimes the matrix gui needs some sort of input device, and since there isn't a touchscreen a mouse can be recognized as input device.

Hi,
I have tried:
matrix_browser -qws http://[localhost]:80
but i received:
sh: matrix_browser: command not found

I have connected a mouse on USB port too, but Matrix didnt run on PC Web browser.

Hi,

I found something.
In K2H Processor SDK Linux, there is no binary /usr/bin/matrix_browser (this is true for other KS2 devices as well, i.e. k2g), while for AM572x SDK this is present. For some reason the matrix_browser has been descoped.

This is a long shot, but can you try copying the binary from AM572x Linux SDK to your filesystem and try again?

hi.
i treid this but it didnt work. it needed Qt library and some other file.
i tried processor SDK V03.03.00.04.
matrix-gui ran on ti eval board but it didnt run on my custom board.
i modified device tree and kernel and I have ping on LAN eth0 on my custom board.
How can i add Matrix-gui-2.0 to my raw custom rootfs? what files are needed?

Hi,

The console output should've said which files are missing.

You can have a look at AM572x SDK init scripts, where this is present, and add them to your filesystem.
