We are considering using the AM5K2E02 in a high integrity product where the cost of certifying the Network Coprocessor firmware may be prohibitive. Is it possible to use the processor's Ethernet interfaces without using firmware in the Packet Accelerator, Security Accelerator or Queue Manager? I.e. with those parts of the NETCP disabled?
We understand that this would have a big impact on performance and that we would have to develop our own low-level drivers, but first we need to understand whether this is even possible.
