Linux/AM5728: Dsptop error

Hi Team,

I have install latest image ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-04.02.00.09-Linux-x86- Install.bin (kernel version is 4.9.59-ga75d8e9305) image  flash on 8gb Micro SD Card for Am5728 board, which boots up satisfactory. (For error: check booting log file: 4.9.59boot.log line number: 634 -637)

When we use dsptop commands after boot. We are finding below errors.
"dsptop internal error: Fatal: : Cannot open debugs module device_name sysfs entry for reading" (please find attached snapshot).

You are requested to guide us, If required we can share board on Team viewer to expedite.

    Which filesystem are you using?
    I found that there is such issue with the arago-base-tisdk-image-am57xx-evm.tar.xz but NOT with the tisdk-rootfs-image-am57xx-evm.tar.xz. This is because that the arago-base-tisdk-image does not contain all the packages needed by dsptop.

    We are facing too many issue in using dsp core of am5728 board (with latest TI image version 04.02.00.09).
    Kindly provide the solution for each below mentioned points.

     
    (1) "dsptop" command is not working properly. kernel is getting dumped randomly.
    (2) Scenario 1: Application (with Opencl enabled) is able to run on DSP sometimes.

        Scenario 2: Application (with Opencl enabled) is not able to run successfully and it causes board in hang state and not able to access board.In this case,

                Issue 1: Minicom is not accessible.
                Issue 2: Board IP is not able to ping.
                Issue 3: Board is also not able to reboot successfully, even after pressing the board's power button.

    (3) In every successfully board reboot, Many error message are found in Reboot.log & on serial (i.e. Minicom) console.

    PFA of log file with respect to above mentioned points and provide the solution asap.

    In one of your logs (Issue-3 HardBootError.log), I noticed the following:

    After this the SoC reboots. Can you elaborate on what are the conditions under which this happens?

    Those kernel error messages from running dsptop is not fatal. dsptop is still usable. To remove those error messages requires a complete rewrite of debugss kernel module. We have internal record to track it.

    We can succeed to run "dsptop" on TMDSEVM572X with PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM57X 05_00_00_15 by modifying&building dts files including am57xx-beagle-x15-common.dtsi.

     

    Now we try to run "dsptop" on TMDSIDK574 by modifying&building dts files including am57xx-idk-common.dtsi.

    But we cannot success to run "dsptop" on TMDSIDK574.

    - At fiist, we can see the "dsptop display" like below.

       But after a few second past, the display disappeared.

     

    Question:

    Are there any missing including modification of am57xx-idk-common.dtsi?

    We would appreciate if you tell us the recommended way to run "dsptop" on TMDSIDK574.

    And we also appreciate if you check the attached below files (console log & dtsi file).
