Linux/DRA746: Waylansink:Video playback query

Part Number: DRA746

Tool/software: Linux

Hello Team,

We use custom h/w and software based on DRA746 and SDK 3.03.

Currently we have enabled the video playback with "waylandsink" and tested with pipelines as mentioned in developer guide for SDK as we are using wayland-ivi-extension and weston with ivi-shell configuration.

We are using our own media player for playing audio/video files and facing an issue in video playback scenario:

1. Select a video from the play list, video starts playing on the screen.

2. Press the back button, play list screen comes on the screen and video is still playing in the back ground.

3. Select a different video file from the list, system shows the previously playing frame for a second and then plays the new selected video.

Could you please suggest what is went wrong here, why previous video frames are shown before new selected video starts playing?

Thanks & Regards,

Ikshwaku

  • Hi Ikshwaku,
TI has not tested waylandsink with weston configured for ivi-shell. How was this support added?
The issue you are seeing seems to be a Layermanagement issue with wayland-ivi-extension.

Is there a way for you to reproduce this with desktop-shell?
