Rio,
Answers to your questions are in the same wiki that you referenced earlier. Please scroll down to take a look.
Regarding the flashing the device, Uniflash might be an option http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_Uniflash_Quick_Start_Guide
You can also do it through Linux http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_Linux_Program_the_eMMC_on_Beaglebone_Black

Hi Lali:
Thanks for your comment, but, this wiki is not quite clear, otherwise, I won't post my question here.
My questions are:
Q1. BASE_DIR/tools Contains tools to create boot images and flashing tools to program the boot binary on the boot media.
How is the detail step to build the boot lib?
Q2: There is no solid example to show u the BOOTMODE/EVM/Profile/KW_Build parameters.
gmake bootloader BUILDCFG=boot BOOTMODE=<BOOT_MODE> PLATFORM=<EVM> PROFILE=<BUILD_PROFILE> -s KW_BUILD=no
Q3: So, if we chosse MMCSD, MMCSD bootloader and APP are merged into 1 file to be flash?
If yes, how to merge?
If no, what's the meaning of this ==>MMCSD bootloader and app
| .bin |
QSPI bootloader, UART bootloader and app |
QSPI bootloader binary should in .bin format and Application binary should be in _ti.bin format. UART bootloader and applications are loaded in .bin format through XMODEM in terminal. |
| _ti.bin |
MMCSD bootloader and app, NAND bootloader and app, MCSPI boot loader and app, QSPI app. |
.bin binaries are converted to _ti.bin format by adding Image size(4bytes) and Image load address(4bytes) as image header. MMCSD, NAND and MCSPI boot loaders and application binaries should be appended with ti image header. Procedure for conversion is here. |

Rio,
The Initialization chapter in the TRM along with the Bootloader user guide for AM335x for Processor SDK RTOS AM335x and AM437x should be used to understand the bootloading process and creating boot images.

It appears that you are unclear about the boot image creation process despite reviewing the documentation so I am going to attempt to answer your individual questions based on your usecase.
When booting an RTOS application using the ROM bootloader, there are two main binaries that are typically required: secondary bootloader and the application binary.
Secondary bootloader: This is the binary that the ROM bootloader loads into OCMC memory that is responsible for initializing clocks, pinmux and DDR for the chip before application is loaded on the device. This can be built using the command that you described
As you can see, each of the arguments is described in the User guide but since you had requested an example. Here is the way to build the SD?MMC bootloader for am335x-evm in release mode
gmake bootloader BUILDCFG=boot BOOTMODE=mmcsd PLATFORM=am335x-evm PROFILE=release -s KW_BUILD=no
The BUILDCFG as well as KW_BUILD parameters can be used as specified above for all boot modes,, profiles and platforms.
This step builds the bootloader binaries bootloader_boot_mmcsd_a8host_release.out, bootloader_boot_mmcsd_a8host_release.bin and bootloader_boot_mmcsd_a8host_release_ti.bin.
The bootloader_boot_mmcsd_a8host_release_ti.bin.(TI image binary) is the file that needs to be renamed to MLO.
Application binary for boot:
When you perform application development using CCS or make files, you will typically have a .out /.xea8 files that can be loaded over emulator . To convert this to bootable image you can use the pdkAppImageCreate script that is available at the location : pdk_am335x_1_x_x\packages
All the LLD examples that we provide in the SDK demonstrate how to use this script. For example if you look at the GPIO LED Blink example for AM335x platforms. It build the example and generated "GPIO_LedBlink_bbbAM335x_armTestProject"
The post build script calls the script as follows:
pdk_am335x_1_0_xx/packages/MyExampleProjects/GPIO_LedBlink_bbbAM335x_armTestProject/Debug GPIO_LedBlink_bbbAM335x_armTestProject AM335x arm
To see what the script does refer to pdkAppImageCreate.bat
%CG_TOOL_PATH%/bin/arm-none-eabi-objcopy -O binary %APP_NAME%.out %APP_NAME%.bin
%PDK_PATH%/ti/starterware/tools/ti_image/tiimage.exe 0x80000000 NONE %APP_NAME%.bin app
Flash and boot Media specific details:
To program the bootloader and the application binaries to boot images refer to the following section of the bootloader user guide.

Other questions:
Check following link for boot mode switch configuration for AM335x and AM437x platforms.
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Processor_SDK_RTOS_CSL_AM335x/AM437x_Boot_mode_settings
Please let us know if you still have any questions that we can help answer. The best way to answer the questions would be if you can get an AM335x evaluation platform and try this out.
