Hi all,

I am starting to work in a project with a DSP TMS320C6713. I want to write with it in a Micro SD card for, them, read it with a PC. I know i need a file system in the SD card (i am thinking in FAT16 or FAT32), but my problem is that i don't know how to write in the SD card with this file system. So, do someone have any advice for me or know a library that i could use with this DSP?

Once you have FAT filesystem on the SD card then you need to use a fatfs driver with the mmcsd driver to read and write files to the SD card. The file IO operations using the FATFS driver use same interface a fopen, fread and frwrite and fclose. I am not sure about the availability of the FAT FS driver on this DSP as this more than 10 year old DSP with no significant software updates.

If this is new product development, then we recommend that you update to C6748 or C6747 which is supported using Processor SDK RTOS baseline which provides both the MMCSD and the FATFS driver that you can use for this task. Hi Rahul,

Regrettably i am not able to update to C6748 or C6747. This problem ir a part of my final carrer project and here in the university we already have a kit with the DSP i have mentioned.

Now, about the problem, i have been seen that FATFS library and the functions i should implement to make it work. So now my question is, are there any examples of implementation of that functions, at least for other DSP, that i could check to addapt it for mine? Those link you give me have examples that could be helpful but i can't find the way to download it, do i need an account in the wiki to do it?
