Linux/AM4376: Yocto build test

Part Number: AM4376

Tool/software: Linux

Hi Sir

We have some questions about Yocto OS.

We are using Yocto as OS for 4376 Gateway, below link is SDK we are using.

                   http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Processor_SDK_Building_The_SDK

My question is about how to ensure all function in OS level is OK on that platform.

Has TI tested the OS based on TI chip? Or do you have suggested OS level test items that need to test for us?

       Thanks.

BR

Yimin

  • Yimin,

Yocto builds a Linux Distribution. The Processor SDK is one example of this. Yes, we do relatively extensive testing of the Linux Distribution on TI EVMs for a broad set of basic use cases.

All of this should make it easier for someone that wants to build upon this to do so. However, it is up to the user to make sure that the software and custom hardware they develop meets all of the requirements of the system being developed. As each s/w or h/w customization can introduce new testing parameters and differences, thorough testing of the created system needs to be done.
