AMIC120: Comparison to AM437x

Part Number: AMIC120
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMIC110

Can someone please explain the differences between the AMIC120 and the AM437x. Do these processors use the same silicon, except on the AMIC120 the, Touch Screen Controller,  Display Subsystem, Camera support, Graphics Accelerator sub systems are missing? And the AMIC120 only runs at 300MHz. Is that it?

It would be nice to have a comparison chart for these as well as the AMIC110 and the AM335x.

Best regards.

Steve.

  • Hi Stephen,

The AMIC120 is based on the AM437x and shares many of the same peripherals to provide a level of scalability between families. You are correct that those are the main differences between the two families. For device comparisons (such as AMIC110 vs AM335x), you can use the comparison feature on the parametric search under the products tab on the Sitara page.

    Regards,
