RTOS/TMDSICE3359: SerCos III Slave

Is there any example for Sercos 3 from TI. I found cannon automata sercos 3 master application which says compatable with TI sitara processor. So I can use this application from PC side as master. Is there any binary or project which runs ICEV2AM335x as sercos 3 slave?

Hi Vinay, there is a plan on enabling SercosIII slave via a third party. We don't have defined release dates yet. I will let you know when we have them.

No details about Sercos III is provided in the hardware manual "SPRUH73P October 2011–Revised March 2017". "White Paper Sercos III Communication Development Platform" document specifies BSP and a firmware for Sercos III for PRU-ICSS is existing. Can I get more details on this? I need to understand and start working on this module so it's very critical for me.

Hi Vinay, as mentioned, we currently don't have a PRU-ICSS SercosIII slave to offer. There is some development in plan but we don't have the details and schedule line up. Additionally, no sure if AM335x would be cover. Let us know if your company would like to explore the option to engage with a third party for this development.

Hi Paula,

Thank you very much for quick response. I as an individual really willing to involve with your third party to understand hardware, design and approach of Sercos III. So I can communicate with icev2AM335x from PC via sercos III protocol.
