CCS/TMS320C6713B: using visual studio instead of ccs

Part Number: TMS320C6713B

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

Is it possible to run programs on dsk6713 using visual studio instead of CCS, i have a project that is run on visual studio and i have many problems to convert it on ccs, so if there is a way to use visual studio, please tell me. i'm begginer so i hope someone can help me.

Regards

  • No, you will have to convert your project to the compiler and libraries available from TI. But you will be much better off moving to CCS with a newer processor like the C6748.

Why are you using the C6713?

  • Manel,

You may get better answers by marking this thread Answered and starting a new one asking about how to get started with the C6713. I was able to answer your original question since it was simple for me to say 'no'. But if you need to come up to speed with a new processor from zero, you will need someone better at that than I am. So please click Answered on one of the posts that fits best for you, then search for other threads that may have addressed getting started with the C6713, and post a new thread if needed.

My direct recommendation to your new question is to go to TI.com and search for C6713B to find the Product Folder for TMS320C6713B. On the Product Folder, you will find tabs for Tools and software, and for Support and training. You can download libraries, but be sure to check that they are for your device - sometimes we have things listed as examples that might be intended for a different processor (apologies). The training tab will clearly be of top priority since your questions indicate you will be helped by the courses we have put online.

Good luck with your future success.

    Regards,
    RandyP
  • Actually, i tested some examples (Labs) to understand a little how c6713 works, but for my project i'm a little bit confused, anyway, i'll follow your advise.
    Thank you for your help.
