Hi,

i was wondering if someone can point out if the GVIF video transmiter CXB1455R is able to get the OMAP3530 RGB and SYNC signals or do i have to amplify all the pins to 3.3V.

i already seen schematics for 3.3V video transmitters that only amplify pins other then the RGB and SYNC but i want to be sure

Ran,

The minimum input high voltage for the CXB is 2.0V so it is necessary to level shift all signals to the correct level.

might you have a recomendation for a good level shifter?, it suppose to be quite high speed and with as many pins

You could use something like the TI SN74AVCAH16424.

will the SN74LVCH8T245 be as good? the one you gave me seems to be quite high price and i can't seem to point out why

Ran,

The SN74AVCAH16424 has a switching time which is almost 2x faster than the 245. The SN74AVCAH16424 is also a 16 bit device whereas the 245 is 8 bit.

If your application does not require a speed greater than about 66MHz then you should be OK with the 245.
