Linux/AM5728: Qt modules included in SDK

Hello,

I'm working on an AM572x Evaluation Module .

The SDK version im using is ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-04.02.00.09 on an Ubuntu 16.04 machine.

Qt Creator version is Qt Creator 4.5.1 Based on Qt 5.10.1 (GCC 5.3.1 20160406 (Red Hat 5.3.1-6), 64 bit)

Environment setup was done based on the TI’s tutorial

i can't seems to find a way to play video on my QT application do i need to install multimedia plugin or any additional modules ?

Hello,

Here you could find more information about qt multimedia plugin here:
doc.qt.io/.../qtmultimedia-index.html

I would recommend you to check this guide also:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_Training:_Multimedia
As you could find gstreamer has codec' elements that are running on IVAHD.

Thanks For the links, But i got this when i run Qt prebuilt example -1: error: Unknown module(s) in QT: multimedia, i think thats caused by backend is there a package that i need to install or the preinstalled gstreamer should support Qt video player

Hello,

The Qt version in PSDK 4.2 is 5.7.
You could try MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake qtmultimedia in this case you must follow this guide:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Building_The_SDK
You could check this thread also:
e2e.ti.com/.../512128
Make sure there is no version mismatch.

i have tried: MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake qtmultimedia

Hello,

You could search for qtmultimedia folder.
However I would recommend you to check your versions. Here is what I mean:
forum.qt.io/.../unknown-module-multimedia
