How can I use VPFE SDR_ADDR register on DM6437

'I'm beginer on DM6437.I'm MsC Student .My finasl thesis is based on video stabilisation.I have simple questions..

I know two separate buffers in DDR on DM6437..When dsp capture frame from VPFE, I want to store the starting address of the1st buffer into the VPFE SDR_ADDR register. So frame will be stored in the 1st buffer in DDR.After second capture ,next frame will be stored in the 2nd buffer in DDR.And I want to compare two frames,And I will obtain new frame acoording to my motion dedection algorithm and send it to the display.And this will go on.Therefore,I want to store frame shared buffer logic between VPFE and VPBE to DDR .http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/99/p/65902/239265.aspx#239265 link explain that I must use VPFE SDR_ADDR Register.How can I overcome of this problem?Could you help me please?

Hi,

Why don't you use driver available for DM6437? Drivers for DM6437 supports both VPFE and VPBE. You can allocate some 4 buffers and give it the capture driver. You can de-queue 2 buffers from the VPFE driver and apply your algorithm. The buffer you want to display can be given the the VPBE driver so that it will display on TV. Un-used buffer can be given back to the VPFE driver.
