RTOS/OMAP-L138: Problem in SPI communication.

Hello,

I am using OMAP-L138 LCDK for Analog processing (with ADC LTC1856) for my university project. With SYS/BIOS 6.46.5.55 I am trying to configure SPI.

I am referring code from TI support,

OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_04_01 - example code for SPI

I could build the project on board where I am using SPI1 (default) and transmitting signal at 3 pin mode.

I am not getting any received data at pin SPI_SIMO.

And also at pin SPI1_CLK my oscilloscope is not showing any clock.

In short, my SPI is not working.

Could you please help, how to proceed further in troubleshooting.

Hello Kshitika,

For new development, TI recommends the Processor SDK software platform. It is our latest software offering and will be supported and updated moving forward. Starterware is no longer being maintained or supported on this forum.

PRSDK can be downloaded here.

The SPI examples can be built by following the steps in the RTOS Software Developer Guide.

I recommend starting with the SPI loopback example. You will need to change the SPI_INSTANCE to 1 and comment out the SPI_control loopback call. You may need to verify that the pinmux is configured for SPI1 as described in this thread for SPI0. SPI1 can be configured using the PINMUX5 registers (see OMAP-L138 Technical Reference Manual).
