Linux/AM4378: Disabling sleep mode

Do you use AM437x TI board (TMDSEVM437X, TMDXSK437X, TMDSIDK437X) or custom board?

Do you use AM437x TI PSDK v4.03 (link below)?

We use custom board fully based on AM4378 and also we use ti sdk 4.02.00.09.

I want to disable sleep mode in linux or board. How do i do this?

Try adding consoleblank=0 to your bootargs.

i tried as follow.

u-boot# setenv bootargs consoleblank=0

But it did not work. Can you tell, How do i add bootargs?

Can you test with the below sequence. Please also share the console output log:

u-boot# printenv bootargs
u-boot# setenv bootargs ${bootargs} consoleblank=0
u-boot# printenv bootargs

When you boot up in user space, try the below command:

# cat /proc/cmdline

If you are booting from SD card, you can try the below approach:

u-boot# printenv args_mmc
u-boot# setenv args_mmc ${args_mmc} consoleblank=0
u-boot# printenv args_mmc
u-boot# boot

It boots from SD card only . I entered the commands as you said and output is as given below

U-Boot# printenv args_mmc

args_mmc=run finduuid;setenv bootargs console=${console} ${optargs} root=PARTUUID=${uuid} rw rootfstype=${mmcrootfstype}

U-Boot# setenv args_mmc ${args_mmc} consoleblank=0

U-Boot# printenv args_mmc                        

args_mmc=run finduuid;setenv bootargs console=${console} ${optargs} root=PARTUUID=${uuid} rw rootfstype=${mmcrootfstype} consoleblank=0

Now my linux level output is as given below.

root@am437x-evm:~# cat /proc/cmdline

console=ttyO0,115200n8 root=PARTUUID=000e338a-02 rw rootfstype=ext4 rootwait consoleblank=0

I hope "consoleblank=0" updated . But it still goes for a sleep mode after 10 minutes.

I have installed ti-processor-sdk-linux-am437x-evm-04.02.00.09 on TMDSEVM437X TI EVM board. I have create bootable SD card with create-sdcard.sh and using the pre-built images (u-boot, kernel, rootfs). And I am not able to re-produce your issue. AM437x TI EVM is booting to user space, where I have "Matrix App Launcher v2 p1". Then I wait for more than 30 minutes, but nothing goes to sleep mode. And I do not have consoleblank parameter set to 0 in my bootargs. Please find attach full boot up and user space console log.

Could you please provide full console log (boot up plus user space)?
