EVM DM644x FrameBuffer Output

I'm trying to output a simple image (RGB565) to the /dev/fb/0 using the DaVinci DM644x EVM and the built-in NTSC encoder module. I see the screen flicker when the kernel boots up, but I see nothing when I copy the image to the framebuffer device. Any ideas?

I wonder what you blending is set to; if /dev/fb/2 has all 0's, it will make OSD0 (/dev/fb/0_ transparent and show the video window underneath. Similarly, if /dev/fb/2 has all 1's, OSD0 will completely hide the video window underneath (no transparency)
