TDA2EXEVM: Query Regarding ROM bootloader address pointing

Hi,

We are working on TDA2ex platform.

We have to implement self-upgradable bootloader functionality.

Currently, the ROM bootloader will copy the Bootloader image from starting address of flash to OCMC RAM.

Now, we need ROM Bootloader to copy Bootloader image from some other location to OCMC RAM and execute.

Kindly, give us information regarding what all changes need to be taken care to get this implemented.

Can you provide more details on what you want to do like the location where are you trying to copy the bootloader from?

Hi Rishabh,

We are copying Bootloader from 0x5C00 0000 to 0x5C08 0000.

We want to run the copied bootloader (0x5C08 0000) on OCMC.

Hi Ashish,

This kind of functionality is kind of hardcoded in the ROM code. You can refer to TRM document for ROM boot flow.

Hi Stan,

Thank you for the reply.

We found that the SYSBOOT[7:6] are used for configuring the offset for QSPI Redundant SBL Images Offset.

We want to set these bits to 0b11 i.e 512KB.

We have configured the registers CTRL_CORE_PAD_GPMC_AD6 and CTRL_CORE_PAD_GPMC_AD7 as sysboot6 and sysboot7 respectively.

We want to know how to set these pins to the value 0b11.

Hi Ashish,

These are SYSBOOT pins present on the EVM, i.e. the same switch where you set the boot mode.
This features is well documented in TRM so please refer to that.
