Accessing AM3505 Boot Rom code after boot

Is it possible to use the boot ROM code after the unit has been booted? For example, can I use it for reading a USB device, or the Ethernet device?

I couldn't find anything in the AM35x ARM Microprocessor Technical Reference Manual that talked about that.

If it is possible, what are the functions that are accessible and what are the function prototypes?

Hi Matt,

The ROM code was not written so as to be accessed at run-time programatically. Are you having any specific trouble using the USB/Ethernet drivers included in the PSP package?

Hi, Tim,

I'm not actually writing code yet; I'm planning on what is going to need to be done in my design.

Having something that could be used to interact with the Ethernet driver or the USB driver would have been a huge advantage to using the 3505.

Matt,

Are you looking to run a Linux kernel on the ARM, or do you intend to run without an OS if only for the context of this question? The linux kernel contains a fairly standard API layer for Ethernet and USB drivers, but if you are not booting into Linux then this will a more tricky pursuit.
