Hi,

I want to communicate "Homeplug Green Phy" with AM3352 Sitara processor. Is it possible to give support Homeplug green phy with AM3352?

If yes then please let me know, how can I achieve this?

Hi,

This cannot be directly supported by AM335x devices. You will need an external PLC modem.

Homeplug Green phy device part number is QCA7000.
If any of other can communicate with AM3352 processor, please let me know.

QCA7000 is a third-party product and seems to use SPI protocol. It can be connected to AM335x devices, but we do not have software support for this.

Thanks for quick reply.

I have 2 questions:

1. If third party will give a support of firmware (for QCA7000), then can you please provide a Kernel patch (.dts file or any other file support) for SPI communication to AM3352 processor.
2. Is there any other module (Homeplug Green phy - PLC Modem), So I can communicate with AM3352 processor? Please suggest.

You should be able to achieve communication using user space tools like SPI Dev. I'm sorry, we can't provide further input on this user space driver or a custom kernel driver for your specific interface. This is typcally provided by the device manufacturer or the linux community. There are companies that provide such services for Linux.

Again, I'm sorry, I'm not a Homeplug expert and don't know of any specific modules. TI does provide PLC modems and I'm not sure if one of those would meet your needs.
