Linux/DRA745: vip driver - capture camera video frame data

Hi,

my project based on 6AO1.0.

I use omapdrmtest demo to capture camera video frame. but there are two strip of black blocks at top and far left. look at red arrows point to on attachment picture.

if I use 6am1.2, this problem disappear.

I think this issue maybe caused by vip driver?

Hi,

It might be capturing blanking data, that requires to be cropped.
If you are using discrete sync signals to capture over VIP, then it will capture even blanking data. You could trim them off in the VIP, by enabling trimmer module in VIP parser.

Can I ask what camera you're using? And also what parameters are you sending to omapdrmtest? Which of the tools in omapdrmtest are you using?

sorry for late reply.
I am currently working on other work, one of these is trying to get through CameraHAL using DMABUF mechanism.
however, I am blocked by one issue. could you have a look at it?

change field ACT_SKIP_NUMPIX at register VIP_CROP_HORZ_PORT_A.
