Hi Sir

After checking thread, we got info as below

Arm has confirmed that Variant 3 (Meltdown) does not affect Cortex-A8, Cortex-A9, and Cortex-A15 architectures.

TI DSPs and MCUs are not affected by either vulnerability (Spectre or Meltdown).

BTW, what can we do or need to pay attention in SW development?

follow below thread and we have some questions in AM437x platform

1. we checked the arm forum in below and it said " the variant 1 and variant 2 are not OK for Cortex-A9 "

Q1: Do we need to do integrate the patch in u-boot/kernel for variant 1 and variant 2?

Can the patch fix this issue? Will this patch have other side effects?

What is TI's suggestion?

Q2. We noticed there is change as below for varian 1:

Impacted kernel/driver code should be reworked to use the new cross-architectural ‘nospec’ accessors

It will be the whole tool-chain changed. Has TI tested tool-chain on 32bit CPU now?

Q3. For variant 2, from git link, most of the update is for arm64, does it mean 32bit CPU is not ready, could you please get more detail steps for us to clarify?
