AM5728: Camera module not detected

My TMDSCM572X is not working anymore. I got the following messages in udev log:

[ 5.633757] mt9t11x 4-003c: input-clock-freq: 32000000
[ 5.638955] mt9t11x 4-003c: pixel-clock-freq: 96000000
[ 5.718797] mt9t11x 4-003c: Product ID error ffffff87

I have tested in on 2 different EVM boards.

How we can test the camera hardware?

Aiden,

Did the camera module and sensor previously work on your EVM? Did anything change coincident with the failure? You said that you tried your camera sensor on multiple EVMs. Have you tried a different camera module to determine whether the one has failed or become damaged?

Yes the camera module was working fine on my 2 EVMs. I have not used them for some months. And when I wanted to run them again, that error appeared. Unfortunately I just have 1 camera module at the moment. The IC packages on the module are very small and they are all QFN and we can not probe oscilloscope to check the signals. It seems the sensor is obsolete by ON-Semi. Is there any replacement for it?

A replacement camera module can be purchased from TI or one of our distributors. Please see www.ti.com/.../TMDSCM572X.
