TMS320C6748: Developing UI application to run with CCS application

Hello,

I am using TMS320C648 LCDK kit. I developed in CCS a code that writes an executable in a hardcoded path in to SPI flash. I checked functionality with JTAG debuuger . It is working. Now I want to develop a UI window that runs when I start run application from CCS using JTAG debbugger. There I should be able to browse and show required file and then when I click program button, the program should be wrote in to SPI flash. Is there any UI creation app that comes with CCS that I can use in this context. Please update.

No, such thing is NOT supported by TI. You should develop this UI app on your own depending on community support (based on which environment you choose for development).

Hi Shalini,

As far as I could see in the GUI composer v2 cloud based version, there is no support for C6000.

As far as I know, in the STARTERWARE-C6748 package there are some graphic library examples that I'm sure you've tested them. I don't know how they can help you on your interface.

Hi Shalini

The package has many examples on the c674x peripherals. You can find ccs project files under build directory, there you can find a grlib_demo project. The example uses some libraries to draw shapes and show images and it has a user interface to get some inputs.

Unfortunately it doesn't use any kinds of TI operating systems. I had a plan to use this libraries beside my SYS/BIOS application because I also needed a graphical user interface on my board. Till now I did not got the time for doing this. I may use OMAP-L138 and bring up linux on it and leave the graphical interfaces to Qt and ARM core and do all the processes on DSP core.
