Hi Sir,

I have one custom board with AM5728 on it, All interfaces are working except HDMI,

I am using SDK version 4.0.1.6.

I am using TPD12S016 HDMI Comapnion chip with diffrent GPIOS which i already changed in dtb file.

And one change i am not using the LCD module i only want HDMI.

I am getting this error:

omapdss PLL error : cannot lock DSS DPLL

omapdss HDMI error : Failed to configure DPLL

omapdss HDMI error :Failed to power on device

omapdss HDMI error : Failed to enable display 'hdmi' : -5

Please reply asap sir.

Hello,

By default the HDMI and LCD are enable. Here is wiki page how you could change display order or how only HDMI could be enable:

Could you try with different HDMI monitor?

Thanks for quick reply.

I have gone through the wiki i tried to enable HDMI by default but still i am unable to get anything on monitor and i changed my monitor also.

As per the AM5728 EVM the TPD12s016 having 2 GPIOS GPIO2_30 & GPIO7_10. In our custom board we have only changed the GPIO6_28 instead of GPIO2_30 and we have mention it in dts file.

One more thing sir, the pin B21 should be pinmuxed as HDMI_HPD or GPIO7_12?

If it should be pinmuxed as HDMI_HPD then how to mention that in encoder node?.

Will you please point me which clock source is responsible for HDMI clock because i have tapped my HDMI clock line i am not getting clock itself.

Hello,

Please check dss_pll_write_config_type_a in pll.c file and dss_clk_source dpi_get_clk_src_dra7xx in dpi.c.
I would recommend you to check the differences related with hdmi between am572x evm and your custom board.
