A strange ProdID.SKUID code

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530

Hi, all,

The omap3530 technical reference manual mention:

Register 0x4830A20C [ProdID.SKUID] [0:3]:
• 0x0 for normal 600/430MHz device.
• 0x8 for 720/520MHz device.

The legal value is  "0x0" and "0x8", but when I read data from this register, the value is "0x3", what does this code mean? And my JTAG Debugger can not connect to this target, the  error information is:

Error connecting to the target:
Error 0x80000244/-2131
Fatal Error during: Register, Initialization, OCS,
Cannot access register at 0x00000000

Dose anyone know why?

thanks.

  • I  konw why this happened.

The device I used is an "Experimental Device",the device name on the chip is "XOMAP3530DCUS".

on page 6 of TI document "sprz278f.pdf" notices  "(A) Non-qualified devices are marked with the letters "X" or "P" at the beginning of the device name, while qualified devices have a "blank" at the beginning of the device name."
