RTOS/TDA2P-ACD: diff b/w VIP Capture Link and ISS Capture Link

Hi all,

Does anyone know the diff b/w VIP Capture Link and ISS Capture Link ? For TDA2px and AR0132(raw RGGB input), I'll need the ISP part. which link should I choose?

Hi,

You should choose ISS capture link in case you want to use inbuilt ISP.

as to hardware, could we connect AR0132 to the VIN2A as we used in Capture link and TDA2xx ?

Hi Rooney,

Yes you can connect AR0132 to VIN2A and use capture link as well.
I just looked at your previous threads and it seems that you already have a working system on TDA2xx.
I think in that case you should use capture link.

Hi Rishabh,
Actually, we have some modification. For the adaption of different algorithms, we have to enable ISP part of TDA2px . My question is that if we can use the same VIN port(VIN2A) as TDA2xx, althrough we move to TDA2px and ISS capture link ?

Hi Rooney,

The ISP Link operates in memory-to-memory mode. i.e. reads a frame from memory, perform configured operations and writes back to memory (like a scalar link).

Once you have captured via VIP, the next link shall be ISP.

I am not sure what operation your expecting out of ISP, you could refer TRM, "\vision_sdk\docs\TrainingSlides\TDA3xISP.pdf", "\vision_sdk\links_fw\include\link_api\issM2mIspLink.h" & "\vision_sdk\links_fw\include\link_api\issIspConfiguration.h" for more details.

The ISP on TDA3x is similar to TDA2Px ISP.

Yes, you could, but please note that sensor tuning is in ar0132 sensor layer.
